So I guess I'll kick it off then;
I'm pretty open to all sort of ideas (except Animals). Currently was thinking about something like Walking Dead, original Mutants setting (something like X-Men), always up for Pokémon Role-play. But if you have any other original Fantasy/Human setting in mind, I'd like to hear it! Anyone up to brainstorm about settings?

I'd be game for something creative!!
Do you have any specifications? IE do you want something canon or original? Are you open to playing canon characters or not? I have zero preference in this so anything goes.
I can usually play any kind of character in terms of gender/orientation/etc etc other than animals so I think we're on the same page here.
Also, hello!

Cool!
So I prefer to stay away from any canon characters. I don't think playing their characters does them any right xD Just like you I also prefer to talk in third person, past tense and with at least 1 good paragraph. I unfortunately do not know any of the things you mentioned "Altered Carbon, Jojo, Mob, Star Trek, izombie, Westworld, Death Parade", but we could think of an original fantasy setting?
Do we want to stick with just Vampires/Werewolves/Witches? Or go all the way with a world where humans and other beings (Orgs, Nympfs and what not) live? Or are we talking just human with powers, like mutants?
Or other ideas? x3

Aye, I figured it was worth a shot but I'm not surprised. Most of the stuff I like is kind of weird, to be blunt about it. Though if you've got some free time I would highly suggest checking them out. Minus Jojo, that one's an acquired taste. But i'm getting off topic! Yes, original fantasy would work for me.
I'm an open book so unless you have a specific idea you've been into we could probably just world build.
It might be best to pick a setting then pepper in what we want. In terms of fantasy we could either do a modern setting or a setting completely different from the modern world. Then we have to decide whether or not we want magic to be a common thing or a rare thing? OR if you want we could really just wing it.
I'm used to planning a lot of details with my role plays but I wouldn't be opposed to just flying by the seat of my pants for once. Might garner some interesting results! haha.
Since this is your RP idea thread I'm going to hand you the reigns on this one (:

I have a whole long list of things I still want to see; Alterd Carbon is on the list but not one of the priorities xD
No specific idea, so let's set up the world! I'm totally fine with getting to the details. The more details the easier it is, especially in the beginning. So I believe you played Final Fantasy right? So maybe we could opt for something like that?

Yes! I've played pretty much everyone minus the latest one because i'm told it starts off like a bro hangout.
Maybe we could just borrow a world and tweak a few details? I think if we're going fantasy that something similar to IX, X, and XIII would work. If we're doing non-modern day I would have to request that there be some sort of elf race because I love playing elves but I'm otherwise flexible.
If you want I could scribe up a few setting or plot ideas and post them up and we could go from there? Or we could both scribe up ideas and then pick from the list?

Alright! I came up with a list of slightly generic prompts. If you like any / want to tweak any we can iron out the details from there. I did three modern and three non modern fantasy so we have a large range of possibilities.
Obviously my cheesy plot/rp names are very much optional, I just needed to name them something.
Classic Fantasy ~ The Red Queen (ruler gone wrong) In a world already rampant with chaos, the death of the only heir of the late king marks the end of society as it is currently known. Under her dark rule the world has begun to unravel. With coin from an unknown patron, an assassin sets out to fulfill their contract but is met with a new problem.
~ War and Corruption (good versus evil) At the edge of the world the demon army threatens to win a war that has been waging for centuries. But with the rest of the country so far removed from this chaos, the Orders struggles are all but ignored. While doing a routine exorcism, a local necromancer stumbles upon irrefutable proof that the current rulers no longer act in the best interest of the people.
~ World Unveiled (low-key fantasy) After centuries of living peacefully among the forest people, one elf is tasked with gathering information on the outside world. Once among the humans, they are distressed to find that elves not associated with the forest have not only lost their heritage but they are viewed as second-rate citizens.
Modern Fantasy ~ Lone Wolf (special powers) Magic, as far as they knew nobody else had this ability. That day the world went on like it always did, coffee, work, lunch with friends, and then, shortly after tea, it happened – someone else was using magic. It turns out this was only the surface of the true reality of the city and the war within.
~ Borrowed Time (mythical race conflict) As the last of a near-extinct mythical race, the main character heads to a big city in an attempt to find a cure to the ailment that has destroyed almost all of their people. The good news is that they quickly find someone who holds the solution to their problems. The bad news is that they refuse to help for a reason that seems way too strange to not be personal.
~ Hunters (low key modern fantasy) A pair of close-knit supernatural-creature hunters take on a challenging mark. When one of them fails to return the other is left picking up the pieces of a rather grim puzzle. As they enter the city where their partner was seen last it’s looking more like that was only the start of the problem.
So lemme know what you think, if none of them grab you I can always go back to the drawing board (I won't be offended!). I left the genders so of ambiguous so if we pick one we can play around with who plays what character.
I'll be on and off the forum throughout the day (:

Nice ideas! So these are the most appealing to me:
Classic Fantasy Maybe we could twist it to where kingdoms that were once in peace, are now turned to chaos due to the assasination of one of the royal family. We could even do that a daugther/son is actually still alive, but has been announced dead for safetly. We would have a ruler that plans to take over all the kingdoms and does so in terror. Our characters could be seeking refuge or are on a mission to kill the evil queen?
War and Corrumption Maybe like the demon army is growing by the day, taking more land as time goes by. The leaders of the country are saying that there is nothing to worry about, while there is actually everything to worry about. We could go from exploration, to treason, start a riot and go to war. Plenty to think about here i think.
Hunters Makes me think about Clans in the FF-series, or simply any game with guild-system. This could be something really open where you have teams hunting down monsters or doing other missions to get by, build a reputation. I like the setting, but i'm not sure where this could go?
What do you think?

So right off the bat I'm sort of agreeing with you on the Hunters plot. To me it only makes sense in a modern fantasy setting. So I guess we can cross that one out and focus on the others!
I'm mostly leaning towards the war and corruption plot BUT if you wanted we could merge the two together. IE character finds out that current leader is in league with demons & since nobody believes them has now (begrudgingly) taken matters of ousting the current ruler into their own hands. This could be with or without the help of the missing/supposed deceased heir depending on the amount of overlap we want to do.
If you're liking this idea I can elaborate and we can bounce world-building ideas off of one another.

We don't have to merge them together, we can also just stil with the War and Corruption plot, sounds like a good idea to me ^^ We could set it in a world where you would have several countries, one wealthier than the other. Long time ago in a fight against demons, they were ousted to a far away shadow-country where they could do no harm. For centuries it had looked like the demon army had vanished, but the army was slowly rebuidling under the ground and are now setting out to take back what is theirs. In conspiracy with the rules of the country.
As far as the world goes; maybe we go a bit 'old-school' and say that travelling is done by horse and carriage. Merchants travel from country to country to exchange goods. Weapons are mostly swords, lances, bow and arrow, knifes etc. They're soldiers protecting the boards of each country / town.

Alright! It's probably a little more flexible of a plot than trying to get them to fit together now that I think about it. Several countries sounds good because that leaves more of a 'out for themselves' mentality we could play into. Maybe like three tops so we can keep better track of them? I wonder if we should build a map? I'm kind of really bad at that sort of stuff but i'd be willing to try haha. Loving the old school idea. So the next question i'd have is what do we want to do about magic? I feel like it should be present but maybe sort of rare so that people with magic are either feared or held above others for their skill? There was an old game I love called legend of dragoon where characters could only use magic if they had a specific stone from a dragon we could do something like this if you want? Or, if we want to get spicy, we could say that people can only use magic if they made a pact with a demon. In terms of races I think if we're going down this path we should keep it to the following - humans, half elves, elves, maybe dark elves, fae creatures, possible a dwarf or orc race. Pretty much classic. Also there is the question if we want to allow dragons. I'm always 50-50 on this because they are usually so overpowered. With that said we could take the fae race and make them derived from dragons instead? I love fantasy because its just a wide genre but darn there is a lot to decide haha. Edit: Just found a really neat map generator, link here

A map would be cool, if you feel up for creating something? But we don't have to create a map, we can just put down some basic's like country names, how big they are and what they are known for and we'll just take it from there in the writing.
I like the idea that magic is somewhat unique. Perhaps in the earliest centuries in wars those with magic were killed. Those that lived on, created families and passed on their strengths are highly outnumbered and considered special. Legends say they survived due to the dragon stones that protected them. The dragon stones were of those families that had Dragons on their side. For centuries no dragon has been seen, but that doesn't mean that they are extinct. Nowadays those with magic keep sort of to themself or don't flaunt their magic when they are around people they don't trust. Everyone wants to get their hands on those dragon stones. What do you think? We could do a-la game of thrones style and hatch dragon eggs xD
And regarding races; sounds like a plan to me ^^

I don't mind making a map, especially with that program because it's super easy. Do you care if I improvise on the names or were you looking for a particular name for the countries? I'll post it back here and we can fill in what we want but I do think it would be useful to have some generic geography for reference.
Taking a leaf from GoT sounds good to me. I love your idea! I figure each of the dragons should have a separate type of magic to spice it up a little. So I guess we should think about what we want to do in terms of characters.
Questions incoming! Were you thinking one character each then we split NPC interactions? Or do we want a party of four (each of us playing two). OR do you want to just wing it? Also what gender / relationship do we want for the characters? I'm pretty flexible to fill in whatever.
Hopefully that's not too much of a bombardment of questions.

Go ahead with names, im not that picky ^^
And sound like a good ide about each dragon having a specific magic! Usually i prefer staight couples for relationship ~ amount of characters doesn’t matter to me, we could start one each or two each? And just make up characters along the way if needed. In any case i already have some sort of character in my head for human man if thats okay? What are your thoughts about character?
